AusCycling Women's Beginner MTB Skills Workshop

This course is made possible through funding from the Northern Territory Government allowing AusCycling to offer free course entry (normally valued at $80), and a 4 Week Free Trial which includes personal accident insurance.  

This workshop will allow new people to the sport to develop their mountain bike skills in a supportive and positive environment. The session will start at the beautiful grassy Telegraph Station and then progress to beginner tracks used for progression and to assist in skill development.

The course will be instructed by Georgina Landy, an experienced and passionate MTB rider who has been mountain biking since 2008, Georgina is a wholisitc educator and became an accredited coach in 2018. She loves empowering people to feel more confident mountain biking and better able to enjoy the incredible activity of riding your bike in the bush connecting with nature, self and others.

Topics such as the ones listed below could be covered:

* Balancing
* Choosing the right gear
* Cornering
* Climbing
* Attack Position
* Braking

Participants to bring:

* Bike in good working condition
* Helmet
* Sneakers / Close toed shoes
* Spare tube
* Water
* Snacks
